Destination Wedding Tips

Choose Like Honeymooners Select your location with your honeymoon in mind (especially because it's probably going to be your honeymoon spot). Start by contacting the tourist board for the country or state you're thinking about.

Share the Plan Let potential guests know early, particularly if you choose a foreign country. Send accommodation and travel info ASAP If you're flexible, find out what times might be good for them before you book your wedding date.

Play by the Rules If you're tying the knot in a foreign land, ask its tourism bureau or foreign consulate about the country's marriage requirements (minimum time you need to be in the country fee, documents needed, and the like).

Wed Stress-Free Consider marrying at a resort with an on-site wedding consultant. Most will take care of everything for you, from the officiant to the cake.

Get There Early Finalize paper work and details, meet with everyone who will be working on your wedding, and chill for a bit.
