<b>Q</b>: Who's supposed to pay for the honeymoon?
<b>A</b>: These days, most couples pay for their honeymoon themselves but often parents or other closer relatives offer to finance the trip (or part of the trip) as a wedding gift. Traditionally the groom and his family paid for the honeymoon because the bride's family financed the entire wedding. But modern wedding spending is more egalitarian and just as you should not expect your parents to pop for the bash, you shouldn't expect them to pick up the tab for a three-week trip to Bali, either. It is likely that this is a gift you'll give yourselves.
