Pick a Theme, Any Theme ...
By Timothy R. Schulte CTW Features
Of course, your wedding has a theme, but do you?
With the multitude of colors, names, styles and varieties of all the different embellishments that go into a wedding, it's easy to create your own personal theme - whether anyone knows it or not.
[heading]What's In a Name?[banner]
The name of a certain item or product - however meaningful or not - is something you could easily use to guide your style. For instance, designer Carolina Herrera has a gown in her Fall collection called Columbine. That lovely double-georgette, V-neck, wrap-style dress shares it name with the Columbine, the perennial that is the state flower of Colorado. Whatever your affinity or affiliation with either, the pair is a chic way to have your own theme, however minimal.
That's just one small example. Here are a few quick examples that might cue a few other inspirations
- Casablanca - the classic film; Moroccan food; the Casablanca lily; the bridal-dress line
- Locations - Georgia and New York are two fonts styles that also have rich cultures tied to their name (peaches and cheesecake, anyone?)
What themes inspire you?
