Take your invites from everyday to extraordinary with the latest designer styles

A designer gown might be a bit beyond your budget, but designer wedding stationery provides a great way to incorporate big names into your wedding without shelling out a lot of money.

Vera Wang
Vera Wang’s “Vera Wang On Weddings” collection went on the market in July. The line offers plenty of options from classic to contemporary stationery. Wang’s “Tulle Wrap” pattern presents an oyster white invitation slid into a navy die-cut sleeve wrapped with ivory tulle for a traditional look, while her “Engraved Peony” stationery takes a more modern approach with an oversized hand-etched peony engraving, drawn with Peony ink.

Martha Stewart
Looking for a classic, elegant look? Martha Stewart’s Cartouche White Wedding Suite incorporates ornamental frames and navy blue foil to add interest to a fluorescent white invitation. Getting married waterside? Look for Stewart’s Modern Classic Embassy Wedding Suite, which combines the bride and groom’s monograms alongside a hand-drawn shell in Aquamarine that matches the text.

Kate Spade
Kate Spade’s line offers a crisp, tailored design, sometimes garnished with oversized poppies and garden boughs, if the couple is willing. Her Lemon Framed Wedding Invitations punches up a classic monochromatic look with a daring yellow-colored frame. For more fun, look at Spade’s Brushstroke Floral Wedding Invitations with a modern flourish of flowers done in a thick brushstroke and bold pink paint.

Preston Bailey
In love with color? Preston Bailey’s new line of stationery, released this fall, incorporates his one-of-a-kind floral designs. Choose from two pineapples created out of sunflowers on a pale yellow background to a background of blue flowers banded by a thick navy strip across the middle.

Whether you’re looking for classic or contemporary, monochromatic or colorful, just remember to think carefully about what kind of invitations to use. “Choosing an invitation design for a wedding is the starting point for the look and feel of the big event,” says Bailey.
